As of June 15, 2020, Nyeri County in Kenya had reported nine COVID-19 infections and one death.

Notably, three of the infected individuals were health workers, who are crucial in the fight against the pandemic.

According to reports, 459 samples had been tested in the county, with the government taking measures to contain the spread of the virus.

Nyeri Governor, Mutahi Kahiga, had set up 30 beds at a local facility to cater to the needs of the infected patients.
