On June 15, 2020, the Kenyan Senate took the first step in the impeachment process against Governor Anne Waiguru by constituting an impeachment trial committee.
The Senate Business Committee is tasked with recommending 11 Senators to serve on the committee, which will hear and investigate the allegations against Governor Waiguru.
