On Monday, a Kakamega County trader was found dead in his house in a suspected suicide.
Simon Kilonzo, a prominent trader, was last seen on Sunday night and his body was discovered hanging from the roof of one of his houses under construction at Lwesere village in Lurambi.
According to Phoebe Andati, the local assistant chief, police have commenced investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding the trader's death.
The body was moved to the Kakamega County Referral Hospital mortuary, awaiting a post-mortem report.
The deceased owned a liquor store and several other businesses in Kakamega town.
