Four at State House Test Positive for Coronavirus

On June 11, 2020, a mass Covid-19 testing exercise was conducted at State House, resulting in four officials testing positive for the disease.

State House spokesperson Kanze Dena revealed that the identities of the four officials will remain concealed as they seek treatment at the Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital in Kiambu County.

According to Ms Dena, the affected officers are being attended to accordingly, and their families and close contacts are also being taken care of.

Ms Dena also noted that President Uhuru Kenyatta and the first family are safe and free from Covid-19.

State House has implemented undisclosed protocols for all visitors and staff residing outside the compound in an effort to curb more infections.

Kenya's Covid-19 cases rose by 133, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 3,727, with 104 fatalities and 1,286 recoveries.
