On June 15, 2020, a tragic incident occurred at Sakutiek village in Narok North Sub County, where a 67-year-old man took his own life.
The man had sought shelter in a neighbour's home following a heavy downpour in the area, and the family decided to accommodate him in their homestead overnight.
However, the family's generosity turned into a nightmare when they discovered the man engaging in unnatural sex with a ewe in the adjacent room to the sheep pen at around 2am.
Narok North Sub County Police Commander Frederick Siundu explained that the family and their neighbours decided to resolve the matter in the morning, but the old man hung himself using a mosquito net in his room before they could take any action.
Siundu urged locals to be careful when inviting strangers to their homes, saying some turn out to be monsters who defile their daughters or commit other capital offences.
