Published on June 15, 2020, Bunge La Wananchi, a grassroots movement, has called on President Raila to refrain from saving embattled Devolution Cabinet Secretary Anne Waiguru.
The movement, which translates to 'The People's Parliament,' has been vocal about its opposition to Waiguru's handling of the National Youth Service (NYS) scandal.
Waiguru has been at the center of a corruption scandal involving the misuse of funds at the NYS, leading to her impeachment by the Senate in March 2020.
Despite the impeachment, Waiguru has maintained her innocence and has vowed to clear her name.
However, Bunge La Wananchi has urged President Raila to refrain from saving Waiguru, citing the need for accountability and transparency in government.
