Coronavirus Cases Confirmed at State House in Nairobi

Kenya's State House in Nairobi has been hit by a coronavirus outbreak, with four people confirmed to have tested positive for the disease.

The cases were detected during a mass COVID-19 testing exercise conducted on June 11, 2020, according to State House spokesperson Kanze Dena.

The infected individuals have been admitted to the Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral, and Research Hospital in Kiambu County for treatment.

"The tests are conducted on all staff including His Excellency the President and members of his family," Kanze Dena stated.

"Families and close contacts of the affected officers are also being attended to accordingly," she added.
