On a day that will forever be etched in her memory, gospel singer Wahu received some sage advice from her then 9-year-old daughter Tumiso Mathenge.
As Wahu struggled with a difficult decision, Tumiso noticed her mother's distress and offered words of comfort that would change Wahu's perspective.
According to Wahu, Tumiso said, 'Mum, I know that you love me and you're trying your best, but I also know you don't have all the answers...after all, this is your first time being a mum.'
Wahu was deeply moved by her daughter's words, which reminded her that even as a parent, she doesn't have all the answers.
Sharing her experience, Wahu offered words of encouragement to all parents, saying, 'So here's to all the well-meaning parents who are just doing their best. It's all we can do! Keep pushing, keep striving and may God continue to guide us as we raise these precious young ones.'
