Kenya's COVID-19 cases have been steadily increasing, with the latest figures showing 133 new cases reported on June 15, 2020, bringing the total number of infections to 3,727.

According to Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe, the new cases were detected from 3,365 samples tested since Sunday.

During a visit to J.M Kariuki Hospital in Nyandarua County, Kagwe announced that 33 patients had recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,286.

Unfortunately, one more patient lost their life to the virus, raising the total number of fatalities to 104.

Kenya has tested a total of 108,701 samples since the outbreak of the pandemic in the country.

Notably, Nyandarua County, which was visited by the Cabinet Secretary, has reported no cases of COVID-19 so far, thanks to the implementation of strict measures as outlined by the Ministry of Health.

County Governor Francis Kimemia attributed the county's success to the implementation of these measures, saying, 'We are happy to note that there is no single case of COVID-19 in this county.'

He also emphasized the importance of social distancing and maintaining high standards of hygiene, saying, 'We urge you to continue exercising social distancing and maintaining high standards of hygiene.'
