On June 15, 2020, Tanzanian musician Rajab Abdul, popularly known as Harmonize, hinted at vying for the Tandaimba Parliamentary seat in the upcoming General Election.
Speaking to TBC1, Harmonize revealed that he shed tears when President Magufuli endorsed him for the seat.
"As the head of the country believes in me, he sees that you can do this, I am who?" Harmonize said in an interview.
President Magufuli had previously endorsed Harmonize, saying he was a hardworking man and wished to see him represent his people in Parliament.
"I highly commend Harmonize, I don't know which constituency he comes from, but I wish to see him represent Tandaimba. He is a very hardworking young man. I wish him well," President Magufuli said.
Harmonize, known for his rendition songs in praise of President Magufuli, will be joining Tanzanian Hip Hop heavyweight Professor Jay if he wins the seat.
