On June 13, John Kademba, a fourth-year Education Science student at Maseno University, tragically ended his life, leaving his family and close friends with more questions than answers.

According to reports, Kademba was battling depression and had shared a post on May 7 that has left many speculating it was a premonition.

His post read, 'Sometimes it is better you sacrifice life to let others be in peace. Answers are soon given.'

Friends and family have described Kademba as a hard-working and lovely person, and have shared tributes to him on social media.

His death has sparked a conversation about the importance of mental health and the need for support and guidance for young people struggling with depression.
