On the eve of the Premier League restart, Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has revealed that the decision to sign a new deal with the club is 'possibly the most important' of his career.

Speaking to French football programme Telefoot, Aubameyang, 30, stated that he hasn't received a new offer from Arsenal recently, but did have a conversation with the club several months ago.

He added, 'It's a turning point in my career and I want to be honest with everyone.'

Aubameyang has been a key player for Arsenal since joining from Borussia Dortmund in 2018, scoring 61 goals in 97 appearances.

Manager Mikel Arteta has expressed his desire to keep Aubameyang 'under any circumstances,' and the club is understood to be in talks with the forward about a new deal before the end of the season.

Barcelona and Inter Milan are also reportedly interested in signing Aubameyang, who has a contract that expires in June 2021.

On Wednesday, Arsenal will travel to second-placed Manchester City in their first match since the Premier League restart.
