Kenya's COVID-19 cases have been on the rise, with the national tally now standing at 3,594 as of June 14, 2020. This comes after 137 new cases were reported on that day.
Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe announced the new cases while addressing the media from Othaya in Nyeri county. He revealed that the new cases were confirmed after 3,167 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
Of the new cases, 32 patients had been discharged from various health facilities after recovering from the respiratory disease. This brings the total number of recoveries in the country to 1,253.
Unfortunately, three more patients succumbed to the disease, raising the total number of national deaths to 103.
By June 14, the Health Ministry had reported that the country had tested a total of 115,336 samples.
