June 15, 2020, marked a day of intense social media activity after Nakuru County Senator Susan Kihika took to Twitter to attack Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga.
The Senator's bold move came after Raila Odinga refuted claims of meeting with embattled Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru.
Senator Kihika penned a powerful message on her Twitter handle, stating that she would disregard Raila's statement until the Senate sitting takes place on Tuesday.
Her tweet read: 'Your Capital Hill Dry Cleaners is the worst kept secret in the City. I will disregard your statement and instead wait to see how your hounds behave in the Senate on Tuesday. Btw I can also understand how YOU can confuse the name Waruguru with Waiguru they are kinda similar!,'
Her statement sparked a heated debate on social media, with many Kenyans questioning her motives and asking why she was keen on how Raila's allies would vote.
One user questioned, 'Kihika you were Proudly Vocal before your woes how you guys had Numbers!! Why would you Depend on how Raila people will Vote?? Are you NOT powerful anymore?? Waiguru is going Nowhere! Please NOTE!!'
Another user posted, 'The few tangatanga remnants are at overdrive screaming that Baba want to save governor mumbi… Me think Baba should actualize their rants and save her … KWANI, WATAFANYA NN? other than making intelligible noise, what else can Susan kihika do?'
