On Sunday, Raila Odinga, the leader of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), took the Covid-19 test at the Kenya Medical Research Institute (Kemri) in Mbagathi, Nairobi. He emphasized the importance of getting tested to know one's health status.
According to Odinga, he took the test to encourage other Kenyans to voluntarily take it, citing the growing significance of a Covid-19 certificate in the ongoing pandemic.
"I took the Covid-19 test at Kemri in Mbagathi earlier today. I took the opportunity to appeal to all Kenyans to go for testing. A Covid-19 certificate is becoming an important document as we continue battling the pandemic," Odinga said in a tweet.
His test results will be included in the next batch of results, which will be released either on Monday or Tuesday, as it takes up to 48 hours to obtain the results.
