On June 14, 2020, Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga took the COVID-19 test at the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) in Mbagathi, Nairobi.

As he underwent the test, Odinga appealed to all Kenyans to go for testing, emphasizing the importance of a COVID-19 certificate in the ongoing battle against the pandemic.

According to Ministry of Health regulations, Odinga will receive his test results after 48 hours, which will be included in Monday's tally.

"I took the COVID-19 test at KEMRI in Mbagathi earlier today (Sunday). I took the opportunity to appeal to all Kenyans to go for testing," Odinga said, adding that "A COVID-19 certificate is becoming an important document as we continue battling the pandemic."
