19 People Die in Gas Tanker Accident in Southeast China

On Saturday afternoon, a devastating gas tanker explosion occurred at a highway exit in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, southeast China, claiming the lives of at least 19 people and injuring 172 others.

According to the state-run People's Daily, the blast sent flames and a cloud of smoke high into the sky, causing widespread destruction.

Tragically, a second blast took place when the blown-up truck fell onto a nearby workshop near the expressway, further exacerbating the disaster.

The cause of the accident remains undetermined, and an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
