On Saturday, a disturbing discovery was made in Ngumba Estate, Kasarani Constituency, Nairobi, where a man's decomposing body was found inside a rented house.
According to Kasarani Sub-County Police Commander Muthuri Mwongera, the man had recently lost his job at a city hotel due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Police were forced to break into the two-bedroom house after neighbours reported a foul smell emanating from the property.
The middle-aged man, whose identity has not been revealed, is believed to have died nearly one week ago.
Police officers from Kasarani Police Post took the man's body to City Mortuary for further examination.
