On June 11 and 12, the Premier League conducted COVID-19 tests on 1200 players and club staff, resulting in two positive cases from two clubs.

According to the Premier League, this low positive result continues a trend since the return to training last month.

Despite the positive cases, the Premier League is set to resume action on June 17 with its first games since March, when the season was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Aston Villa will face Sheffield United, while Manchester City will take on Arsenal in the first matches back.
