On June 13, 2020, Kiambu Governor Dr. James Nyoro unveiled ambitious plans to renovate Kirigiti Stadium and establish multipurpose playing fields in all 60 wards of the county.
The goal is to boost interest in sports and provide a platform for local talent to develop.
According to the governor, the multipurpose playing fields will be constructed in all wards, aiming to promote sports and community engagement.
The plans were announced in a video shared on YouTube.
