On June 13, 2020, the Kenyan government launched a project aimed at cushioning the youth during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The project, dubbed 'kazi mtaani', involves the allocation of 10 billion shillings to the national hygiene programme, which aims to employ over 200,000 youth in the country.
The initiative is part of the government's efforts to mitigate the economic impact of the pandemic on the youth.
