On Saturday, June 13, 2020, Health CAS Dr. Rashid Aman announced that Kenya had registered 152 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
The new cases were discovered in 3,503 samples tested between Friday and Saturday, bringing the country's total tally to 3,457.
Of the new cases, 116 were male patients and 36 were female patients, with the youngest patient being 2 years old and the oldest being 65 years old.
The cases were distributed across various counties, with Nairobi recording 70 cases, Mombasa 41, Busia 16, and other counties recording fewer cases.
Kenya also reported 57 new recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,221.
Unfortunately, four more people died of the disease, pushing the toll to 100, said Dr. Aman.
As of Saturday, Kenya had tested 112,171 samples for COVID-19.
