Kenya Reports 152 New Covid-19 Cases, Total Reaches 3,457

Published on June 13, 2020, Kenya has confirmed 152 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections to 3,457.

According to Health Chief Administrative Secretary Dr. Rashid Aman, all the new cases are Kenyans, with 116 males and 36 females.

The youngest person to test positive is two years old, while the oldest is 65.

Of the new cases, 70 are from Nairobi, with the majority coming from Embakasi (21), Starehe (9), and Makadara (6).

Dr. Aman also announced that 57 patients have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,221.

Unfortunately, four patients have succumbed to the disease, bringing the total number of fatalities to 100.

Dr. Aman emphasized that the disease is now firmly rooted in the communities, with local transmissions accounting for 89% of the cases.
