On June 13, 2020, police in Nairobi County responded to a report of a foul smell emanating from a two-bedroom rented house in Ngumba Estate, Kasarani Constituency.
Upon arrival, they broke down the door to the deceased's home and found the body of a middle-aged man, whose identity has not been released.
Neighbours reported that the smell was extremely pungent, indicating that the man had likely died several days prior to the discovery.
It is unclear whether the deceased was married, as he lived alone in the Ngumba Estate home.
Police officers from the Kasarani post took the man's body to the City Mortuary for further investigation.
The cause of his death remains unknown at this time, according to police.
