Published on June 13, 2020, a Twitter account bearing the name of Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika has been spreading malicious content about Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru.

The account, which has a similar profile picture to Senator Kihika's original account, has been questioning Governor Waiguru's integrity.

Senator Kihika has since disowned the account, urging her followers to ignore the malicious posts.

"What is with all these fake accounts suddenly? Pls ignore this post and other similar ones," Senator Kihika tweeted on June 12, 2020.

The fake accounts emerged after Senator Kihika took a swipe at Gender CS Margret Kobia for defending Governor Waiguru after her impeachment by Kirinyaga MCAs.

CS Kobia had described the impeachment as an attack on women, prompting Senator Kihika to question her silence when she faced similar challenges during her ouster as the Jubilee Party Senate chief whip.
