On a somber note, the family of late Luo Ohangla musician Abenny Jachinga is facing a new challenge in his hometown of Kolwa East, Kisumu County.

Abenny's mother, Monica Auma, and widow, Belinda Aluoch, were forced to take drastic measures to protect his grave after he was secretly buried by policemen at 2:30am on Friday night.

Only Abenny's brother witnessed the burial, and when the news spread the next morning, the villagers demanded that his body be exhumed.

Abenny's mother sat on top of the grave, pleading with the mourners, saying,

"Mkitaka kutoa Ben kwa kaburi mutaniuwa, mutaniuwa. (If you want to exhume his body then you have to kill me, kill me)"

She was assured that such a thing would not be allowed to happen.
