On October 10, Tanzanian singer Ali Kiba spoke highly of Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho, calling him one of his favorite friends who encourages him in life and teaches him about business.
According to Kiba, Joho is wise and likes people to be successful, which is why he has been a great influence on his life and music career.
During his wedding in April 2018, Joho made headlines for his dapper appearance, but Kiba's friendship with the governor goes beyond that one event. Joho is also a good friend to other East African artistes, including Ommy Dimpoz, Willy Paul, and Susumila.
