June 12, 2020, marked a significant day in the career of Tanzanian music sensation Diamond Platinumz. With over a decade of rocking the entertainment scenes, he has finally reached the pinnacle of his career, amassing a total of 1 billion views on YouTube.

This achievement makes him the first African artist to attain this milestone, with other notable artists like Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido trailing behind with hundreds of millions of views.

Having joined YouTube in 2011, Diamond has grown to become a citadel in the East African music industry, boasting over 3.6 million subscribers on his channel.

One of his most popular songs, the Yope remix with Innos B from Congo, is closing in on 100 million views, with a deficit of only 7 million views.

The WCB team celebrated this achievement in a unique way, surprising Diamond with a cake in his mansion, surrounded by team members including Zuchu, WCB's new signee, and managers like Babu Talle and Said Fella.
