On June 12, 2020, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko's daughter Saumu Mbuvi shared the news of her upcoming wedding with her fiancé, Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip, on her Instagram story.
According to Saumu, the wedding date has been confirmed, but she kept the actual date a secret.
The couple has been dating since 2019 and welcomed their first child together in March of this year.
Before getting involved with Senator Anwar, Saumu dated Ben Gatu, but the two separated when she became pregnant.
She later claimed that they parted ways due to Ben's violent behavior.
