Published on June 12, 2020, socialite Zari Hassan took to social media to address claims that she had reunited with Tanzanian musician Diamond.
During an Instagram live session, Zari clarified that she and Diamond had worked out their issues for the benefit of their children, but this did not mean she was desperate to get back with him.
“Co-parenting” was the term Zari used to describe their arrangement, emphasizing that it was for the sake of their children and not a sign of desperation.
She expressed frustration at Tanzanian netizens who were bitter about Diamond taking care of their children, asking why this should be a cause for concern.
“How is one desperate when they decide to take care of their child?” Zari asked, pointing out that Diamond's actions were a positive development for their children.
She also addressed claims that she coached their daughter Tiffah on what to say to Diamond on the phone, stating that the four-year-old was intelligent and confident enough to speak her mind.
“Tiffah doesn’t need to be told what to say. She is smart, beautiful, and confident, and I won’t sit here and watch you diss my child,” Zari said in her rant.
