With the COVID-19 pandemic forcing people to stay indoors, many are turning to reading as a way to stay informed and inspired. We spoke to two individuals, Nanjala Misiko and Barbara Omondi, about their reading habits and how they are passing the time during this challenging period.

Nanjala Misiko: A Non-Fiction Enthusiast

Nanjala Misiko, Head of Strategy & Operations, Marketing - Sub-Saharan Africa, Google, is a non-fiction enthusiast who prefers reading books that teach her new things. She has a long list of books she wants to read, including 'Thinking, Fast and Slow' by Daniel Kahneman and 'HBR's 10 Must Reads: The Definitive Management Ideas Of The Year from Harvard Business Review, 2020.'

When asked about her reading preferences, Nanjala said, 'I prefer non-fictional literature. I read to learn about things I am curious about but I do not have the expertise or time to research on. I love writers who write from facts.'

Barbara Omondi: A Fan of Loyal Authors

Barbara Omondi, a banker at Standard Chartered, is a fan of loyal authors who write excellent books. She has read several books by Malcolm Gladwell, including 'Outliers' and 'Talking To Strangers.'

Barbara said, 'I am a repeat reader for authors who write excellent books. As soon as I finished reading the book, Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell, I ended up being a loyal reader to his other books like
