Bandits Kill 99 in Northern Nigeria

Published on June 11, 2020, a devastating attack by bandits in northern Nigeria left at least 99 people dead.

Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum confirmed that 81 people were killed in Faduma Koloram village, Gubio local government area, with 13 others injured as they attempted to flee.

Mr. Zulum suspected that the bandits might be the same group responsible for an earlier attack on Gajiram local government area.

He emphasized that lasting peace can only be achieved by defeating the insurgents, requiring significant support from the government.

Meanwhile, in Katsina State, 18 people were killed in Kadisau village, with 26 others injured in a confrontation with the attackers.

The Federal Government has condoled with the families of the victims, vowing to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Since the launch of Operation Katsina on May 14, soldiers have killed 392 bandits in the area.
