On June 11, 2020, Kenya confirmed 121 new COVID-19 cases, marking a significant increase in reported cases in the country.

The cases include 115 Kenyans and 6 foreigners, with Nairobi accounting for 49 cases, followed by Busia with 37 and Mombasa with 20.

According to Health Ministry CS Mutahi Kagwe, the new infections include 92 males and 29 females, with the youngest being a four-month-old infant and the oldest being 86 years old.

Of the 49 cases in Nairobi, Kibra accounted for 18 cases, Westlands 9, and other areas had fewer cases.

Notably, all 37 cases in Busia were confirmed on truck drivers at the Malaba border point.

Unfortunately, the death toll in the country rose to 92 after three patients succumbed to the virus.

However, 44 more patients were discharged from hospital, raising the number of recoveries in the country to 1,092.
