Prezzo's life took a dramatic turn when his mother gave his father an ultimatum in 2020. Born in Pumwani and raised in Eastleigh for ten years, Prezzo's family was on the verge of a significant change.
According to Prezzo, his father had received some liquid cash and was planning to buy a Benz. However, Prezzo's mother had other plans.
'The environment wasn’t doing it for us. In Eastleigh people get into so much mischief,' Prezzo recalled. 'At the time I remember my dad got some liquid cash and came home and said he was going to buy a Benz.'
Prezzo's mother was not pleased with the idea of buying a car, especially one that would be parked on top of stones in their Eastleigh neighborhood. She gave her husband an ultimatum: either buy a house or risk losing her.
Prezzo's father had no option but to move the family to Lang'ata, a change that would also require Prezzo to switch schools.
As Prezzo reflected on this pivotal moment, he acknowledged the importance of his mother's role in their family. 'They say a woman is the backbone of a family,' he said.
Prezzo's life was forever changed by this decision, which ultimately led him to pursue a career in music. With a career spanning over two decades, Prezzo is now a legend in the industry, having released many hits.
