Ethic's Ngwatiology Sparks Outrage ¶
On June 11, 2020, Ethic took to social media to express their disappointment with the massive love their song Ngwatiology was receiving from fans.
According to Ethic, if they were to release a song with similar content, they would have faced severe consequences, including imprisonment. However, Benzema's fans defended their artist, stating that he had never painted any minor as a sex object in his music.
Some fans even reminded Ethic that they were the pioneers of Zero content music, which had helped nurture more artists like them. However, Benzema's creative approach to music was seen as more entertaining by his fans.
Despite the backlash, Ethic clarified that there was no bad blood between them and Benzema, and that their tweet was aimed at helping push Ngwatiology, not asking Kenyans to flag it down.
It is worth noting that Ethic has an upcoming album set to be released soon, which might explain their recent social media beef with other artists.
