Published on June 11, 2020, Nairobi County Assembly members from Jubilee Party are set to convene for a consultative meeting at the party headquarters on Wednesday amid escalating leadership wrangles at the Assembly.

The meeting, called by Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju, aims to iron out outstanding issues regarding the County Assembly leadership and agree on the substantive leadership in the legislative arm of Nairobi County.

According to a letter from Tuju, the meeting will discuss various pertinent issues, including the recent changes in leadership made by the party.

However, Nairobi Assembly Speaker Beatrice Elachi has declined to communicate the changes, citing 'issues' that the party needed to review.

Elachi's decision has sparked fresh wrangles within the party, with the Guyo-led team accusing her of defying the party decisions.

The meeting at the party headquarters is expected to resolve the outstanding issues and agree on the substantive leadership in the County Assembly.
