Published on June 10, 2020, Huawei has confirmed that it will be launching two devices in the Kenyan market next week.

The first device, as previously teased on social media, is the Huawei Y6p. However, the company has now confirmed that it will be accompanied by another device: the Huawei Y8p.

The Huawei Y8p, Huawei Y6p, and Huawei Y5p were all announced globally last month. The Y8p is the most superior of the trio, boasting upgraded internals, a better display panel, and improved connectivity options.

Given Huawei's recent release of the Huawei Y7p, a member of its Yxp-series lineup, it's not surprising that an announcement for the Y8p is expected in the coming weeks.

For now, all eyes are on the Y8p, which will be up for pre-order next week starting Monday the 15th and running till Saturday the 20th.

The Huawei Y8p features a better display panel (OLED) with a higher resolution (FHD+), improved connectivity options (USB Type-C and NFC), and an under-display fingerprint sensor. It packs the same chipset as the Huawei Y7p.

Like the Y6p and Y7p before it, the Y8p also arrives running Huawei Mobile Services, which means it will not have Google Play Services, including the Play Store.
