Laikipia North MP Sarah Korere has made a dramatic U-turn in her political allegiance, denouncing Deputy President William Ruto and pledging her support to the Uhuru-Raila unity pact.

According to sources, Korere, who has been a strong ally of DP Ruto, met with ODM leader Raila Odinga and Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina at Raila's Capitol Offices on June 10, 2020.

During the meeting, Korere expressed her commitment to support the national programs aimed at uniting the country, citing her loyalty to President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga.

“My loyalty is to the President and Raila Odinga and their agenda to unite the country. We are one people who should never be divided along ethnic lines because of politics,” Korere said.

This development comes just a day after Laikipia Women Rep Cate Waruguru met with Odinga in the same premises, expressing her willingness to cooperate with the government as long as her people of Laikipia benefit.
