On June 10, 2020, Kenya's Health ministry took a significant step in managing the Covid-19 pandemic by rolling out home care guidelines for patients.

According to Health Chief Administrative Secretary Rashid Aman, it has become unsustainable to isolate all Covid-19 cases in hospitals due to the sheer number of cases.

Dr. Aman noted that 78 percent of positive cases in Kenya are asymptomatic, making it essential to adopt a more practical approach to care.
