Safaricom's CFO Sateesh Kamath Takes Up New Role in Vodafone

Safaricom's CFO Sateesh Kamath has left the company to take up a new role as the Chief Financial Officer for Vodafone Business, effective immediately. He will report to Vodafone CEO Vinod Kumar.

During his four-year tenure at Safaricom, Kamath played a critical role in growing shareholder value and making the company future-fit.

According to Safaricom CEO Peter Ndegwa, Kamath's achievements include helping to build Safaricom Shareholders' value by 50% to KES 1.2 trillion.

Before joining Safaricom, Kamath spent ten years in Vodafone, leading various finance teams in East Africa. He also sat on various boards in Safaricom PLC, Vodacom Tanzania, and Helios Towers.
