Angela Wairiuko Clancy, a 38-year-old Kenyan-born Australian, is making waves on the 2020 Big Brother Australia reality game show. The show premiered on June 8, and Clancy has already emerged as an early favourite on this year's series.

Clancy, who hails from Perth, Western Australia, is representing her home state in the show. Born in Kenya, she moved to Australia with her parents at the age of 17, settling in Perth, where she still lives today.

Clancy studied Worldwide Enterprise and Commerce at the University of Notre Dame and previously worked as a youth support officer for the Department of Corrective Services. She has been open about her personality, saying, "My husband says I'm a smart ass, and I said remove the ass, I'm just smart."

"I used to watch Big Brother Africa and then Australia and always wanted to do it! I got hooked on it. I've always wanted to audition but never did until now." Clancy's confidence and outspoken nature have made her a standout on the show. According to the events manager, her outward confidence may come across as arrogance, but she would rather get things out in the open than regret not saying them. With 20 housemates, aged between 19 and 62, living together for six weeks, the competition is fierce. Each episode will feature nomination challenges, with the winner having the power to select three housemates for eviction. The housemates will then vote to evict one of the three nominees. Should Clancy win the Sh18 million prize, she plans to pay off her mortgage and take her family to Japan's Legoland.
