Kenyan footballer Crispin Olando, a former Harambee Stars midfielder, has been arrested in the United States for allegedly breaching immigration rules.
According to sources, Olando, 32, has been in custody since March 18 at the Jackson Parish Correctional Centre, where he has been denied bond.
Authorities are processing his deportation, marking a significant turn of events for the player who moved to the US in 2013 in search of greener pastures.
Despite holding trials with Houston Dynamo and Vancouver Whitecaps, Olando failed to secure a professional deal.
Before relocating to the US, he played a crucial role for Tusker in the Kenyan Premier League during the 2012 and 2013 seasons.
