Kenyan consumers are eagerly awaiting the launch of Huawei's latest smartphone, the Y6p, which is set to be unveiled in the country soon.
Pre-orders for the device will open on Monday, June 15th, according to Huawei.
The Huawei Y6p boasts a 6.3-inch display, a tri-camera setup, and a 5,000mAh battery unit, making it an exciting addition to Huawei's portfolio in Kenya.
One of the standout features of the device is its focus on audio, with a wireless FM radio and Huawei's Party Mode, which allows users to enjoy music without the need for wired earphones.
However, the device will not support Google Play Services, instead running on Huawei's own Huawei Mobile Services, which feature the Huawei AppGallery for app discovery and installation.
While Huawei has not yet revealed the device's local pricing, it is expected to be less than the Y7p's starting price of Kshs 18,500, placing it in the middle of the fierce battle for the Kenyan consumer.
