Published on June 9, 2020, Safaricom has taken proactive measures to safeguard the health and wellbeing of its staff and customers by temporarily closing several shops in Nairobi and Mombasa.
The affected shops include Safaricom Shops in Nyali and Rex House in Mombasa, as well as Thika and Lavington Mall shops in Nairobi.
As part of its efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19, Safaricom plans to gradually roll out sanitization and fumigation across all its branches countrywide.
According to Peter Ndegwa, CEO of Safaricom, the company will undertake regular measures to safeguard the health and wellbeing of its staff and customers.
Customers can continue accessing all services from nearby shops, as well as through self-service channels such as Zuri Chatbot, MySafaricom App, and Interactive Voice Biometric System.
The affected shops are expected to reopen on Thursday, June 11, 2020.
