Exiled lawyer Miguna Miguna has seemingly put the past behind him, accepting the unconditional apology from popular blogger Dennis Itumbi.

On Tuesday, Miguna confirmed this development via his Twitter page, stating that he forgives Itumbi and expects him to go beyond his apology and commit to the struggle against tyranny, injustices, and inequalities.

Itumbi's apology comes a day after he alleged that he was convinced by senior government officials to cheer on Miguna's double deportation from the country in 2018.

Itumbi had earlier expressed regret for joining the chorus that cheered on Miguna's disobedience of court orders on the matter, stating that nothing justifies Miguna's continued lockout from Kenya.

Miguna was twice deported after he played a key role in the mock swearing-in of opposition leader Raila Odinga as the People's President on January 30, 2018, before a charged crowd at Uhuru Park.
