On June 9, 2020, the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) took a significant step towards enhancing investors' participation in Kenya's capital market by launching a mobile app.

The NSE mobile app is designed to provide market participants with real-time access to the Exchange's activities, making it easier for investors to stay informed and make informed decisions.

Key features of the app include market snapshots, stock prices, market analytics, financial news, and a gateway to stockbroker apps.

With the mobile app, users can create personalized watch lists to keep track of chosen securities, eliminating the need to access multiple information sources.

According to NSE chairman Sam Kimani, the delivery of the NSE mobile app is consistent with the Exchange's intent to offer uninterrupted services amid the current situation and Government directives put in place to mitigate the effects of the pandemic.

“Today, our country and the entire world is fighting a health crisis and there has been a need to put in place measures to support trading in the market while ensuring that we adhere to the health protocols as laid down by the Government,” Kimani noted.

The NSE App is available free of charge on both Google Play store and IOS.
