Coast Governor Hassan Joho has been given 21 days to file his mitigation statement before the High Court can sentence him over contempt of court conviction.
On May 28, the High Court found Joho guilty of disobeying a court order stopping him from interfering with the property of local tycoon Ashok Doshi.
According to the court, Joho had accused Doshi of grabbing the property belonging to Changamwe Secondary School, but the court ruled in favor of Doshi.
As a result, Joho was sued alongside Changamwe MCA Bernard Ogutu, and the case will be mentioned on July 2.
