The Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) has taken a significant step in enhancing investors' participation in Kenya's capital market by launching a mobile app.

On Tuesday, the NSE unveiled the mobile app, which is designed to provide investors with uninterrupted access to capital market services, regardless of their location.

According to the NSE, the mobile app features market snapshots, stock prices, market analytics, financial news, and serves as a gateway to stockbroker apps.

With the mobile app, users can create personalized watch lists to track their chosen securities, eliminating the need to access multiple information sources.

The app is available free of charge on both Google Play store and IOS.

The launch event was attended by the Chief Administrative Secretary, Ministry of ICT, Innovation and Youth, Maureen Mbaka, who congratulated the NSE on achieving this milestone.

Maureen Mbaka commended the NSE for its efforts in enhancing technology, innovation, financial inclusion, and financial literacy across private sector players in the country.

Speaking during the launch, the Chairman NSE Sam Kimani noted that the delivery of the NSE mobile app is consistent with the company's intent to offer uninterrupted services amid the current situation and Government directives put in place to mitigate effects of the pandemic.

Sam Kimani emphasized that the NSE has undertaken these strategic measures to ensure local and foreign investors have uninterrupted access to Capital Market services in Kenya.
