On June 9, 2020, a disturbing incident shook the Mauche area in Njoro sub-county, Nakuru County. Unknown individuals sprayed blood around AIC Mauche Town Church, sending shockwaves through the community.

The Nakuru County AIC Bishop, Dr. John Maina, condemned the incident, describing it as 'devilish and unacceptable.' He emphasized that the origin of the blood had not been established, and it could not be linked to any conflict within or outside the church.

Despite the unsettling nature of the incident, Bishop Maina called for calm and reassured worshippers that they should not fear conducting their services in the church. The church had been shut down as a measure to curb the spread of COVID-19, but it has since reopened.

Former Nakuru County Water and Environment CEC, Richard Rop, who is also an elder at the church, noted that the incident had terrified many but urged them to stand firm and believe that all would be well.
