Google Chrome is gearing up to revolutionize the way we fill out forms on the internet with its new autofill bar for Android.
Expected to arrive with Chrome version 85 in August, the new design promises to make form filling a breeze, saving users time and effort.
Currently, Chrome's autofill feature presents users with a dropdown list of options, which can be limiting and take up valuable screen space. In contrast, the new autofill bar floats above the keyboard, offering a sleek and intuitive interface.
With the new design, users can select specific portions of their addresses and cards, allowing them to fill out only the box they're currently typing in. This feature is particularly useful when mixing and matching portions of addresses or when Chrome misjudges how to autofill the form correctly.
As noted by Chrome Story, Google has been testing the new autofill bar in recent versions of Chrome Dev and Chrome Canary for Android.
